We are gathering at a special moment. We are bringing to a close ten years of shared work, practice, dance, meetings and transformation.
Ten years of co-creating through movement, courage and a willingness to listen more deeply to life through dance as a path, a prayer, an expression of intention. I feel that together we have ploughed a great deal of ground – our own little gardens, but also vast swathes of the system. And yet there is still so much to do.
This ceremony has always been, and still is, a moment created together. It is shaped by many years of practice. So many people were here, came, danced, opened up, experienced, and went their separate ways. Blessings! There were so many stirrings, promises and fantasies. Initiatives and new lives. Blessings!
The ceremony is a time-travel vehicle – a visit to places and events that
were there to make us realise the unimaginable palette of life’s colours. To draw from it. To make sense of things, give thanks, and take the next step.
A ceremony is a time to look ahead and see endless possibilities and… to trust in the future you dream of. And it is a time to strengthen yourself now – offering who you are as the greatest gift to Life. To offer who you are now fully to Life. To the greater power that moves the Earth, teaches us rhythm and invites us to live our lives to the full.
Why do you want to change? Why have fun? Why build relationships? What am I doing here in this world? What am I really after?
This is the question – the most important question – that you hear but don’t have the courage to ask yourself out loud. It is the most important question; bring it with you to this Ceremony, if you wish.
In the Ceremony, the core is intention – your personal intention – and our collective intention for the whole gathering. Strengthening ourselves in what is our personal essence so that we may carry it into life and the world. Each of us has our own path – together we create a supportive environment for a safe, healthy, compassionate person actively connected to the River, the Mountain, the Tree. Your life has an impact on the whole environment and the entire Planet. And in my view, only a Ceremony can encompass all of this.
We offer gratitude, which opens the heart to the truth that life is constantly shaping us.
Sometimes through gentleness. Sometimes through the intensity of change. The processes of life’s twists and turns require the development of ‘change confidence’ — the ability to remain present and grounded, even when the results of your actions are not yet visible.
This is precisely why ceremony holds such profound significance. Ceremony is a practice of trust in the process of life.
It helps us move from the need for control to a relationship with what is emerging.
It invites us to consciously enter into the experience and to listen to the deeper layers of ourselves.
Dance and ritual remind us that we are part of a greater flow of existence. In such an experience, the body ceases to be merely a place of action; it becomes a place of listening, prayer and communication with life.
And in all of this – in this dance – we open the channels of our joy through play. I love that moment when all the words have been spoken and the voices in our heads fall silent, allowing us to fully surrender to the naturalness of our dance, and that is living magic.
