About the workshop:

Biodanza is a personal development system that uses music, movement, and authentic emotional expression to stimulate vitality, creativity, and connection—both with oneself and with others. It is not a dance technique, but a living process that encourages participants to rediscover the joy of life through bodily experience rather than performance. Biodanza is the art of moving through life itself—a dance in which the body becomes language, emotions become rhythm, and relationships become harmony. Through guided movements and relational exercises: It reintegrates the body and emotions, helping people feel more alive and focused. It cultivates empathy, presence, and a sense of belonging. It stimulates the biological and emotional health of participants by activating what its creator, Rolando Toro Araneda, called “the principle of life.” In essence, biodanza can be understood as the dance of life—a path that celebrates existence through movement, music, and meaningful encounters. It reminds us that dance is not only about moving the body, but also about moving through life itself.

About the instructor:

A seed sown in the fertile spring of 1979 in Freiburg (Germany), whose roots developed and blossomed in Porto (Portugal). I am a teacher and lecturer of the Biodanza method. In recent years, I have created many original workshops, such as: “Roots in the Earth, Roots in the Sky,” “Chaos, Creativity, and the Return of the Sacred,” “The Birth of the Cosmic Human,” “Under the Sign of Emotionality,” “Surrendering to Love,” “The Holy Warrior,” “The Ecstatic Lover,” “Mystical Magician,” “Queen/King,” “Creativity Laboratory,” “Celebrations of Solstices and Equinoxes in Nature,” and “Biodanza in Water.”

I regularly conduct workshops in Lisbon, Porto, Berlin, Budapest, Tallinn, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Krakow, Montreal, Barcelona, Toulouse, and Nantes, among other places.

I was a member of the teaching staff at the Institute of Applied Psychology in the postgraduate program “Human Development and Therapy through Expressive Arts,” and I also collaborate with numerous Biodanza schools in Europe.

I graduated in clinical pedagogy and Gestalt therapy, which allowed me to work with people suffering from addiction, homelessness, and prostitution. I led development groups through Transactional Analysis, relaxation classes (Schultz method and egocentric approach), and dramatic expression with children. I also worked as an educator in a training program for educators and as a volunteer at an international helpline.
