About the workshop:
The Circle of Songs was born out of our dedication to the Path of Beauty, which we have been walking together for 15 years. As musicians and partners. Playing concerts, conducting workshops and circles, recording albums, sharing our greatest passion—music. Music that was born out of our creativity and traditional songs collected during our travels around the world. We invite you to sit together in a circle and sing everything that calls for a voice, freedom of expression without judgment, in the presence and acceptance of every sound as it is. We will sing our own and traditional songs. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Sound has a healing power that brings freedom and clarifies paths. It gives us the courage to live in harmony with our own truth. Let’s sing it out together!
About the instructors:Aja Piesionka Kobieta Pieśń, founder of Laboratorium Pieśni, has been exploring the mysterious realm of sound, voice, and traditional songs for almost twenty years. She travels around the world (the US, Japan, India, Turkey, Israel, England, and most European countries), conducting workshops, giving concerts, and collecting songs at their sources. A graduate of the 10th Academy of Theater Practices Gardzienice, she is also a director of musical performances. She has recorded 10 albums (including two nominated for Fryderyk Awards: Rasti and He Oyate). She plays drums, ukulele, lyre, and other instruments, creating her own compositions, opening herself to the power of intuition and the healing potential of sound.
Michał Zelenibore Artist of the Heart, musician, passionate about life. He expresses his sensitivity through his guitar and voice, and his art is guided by authenticity, enthusiasm, and great curiosity. For years, he has been exploring the songs of indigenous tribes and cultures from around the world. He is a graduate of the Jazz Department of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, the Krakow Jazz School, and the Gardzienice Theater. The fruits of his work include albums recorded with the bands Annutara and Laboratorium Pieśni, film and theater music, as well as his own album Joy Of Life, released in August 2019.
