About the classes:
Bachata Sensual is one of the most popular and sensual styles of partner dancing in the world.
The The workshops will be led by top instructors from Abra Studio (www.abra-studio.pl), one
of Poland’s leading bachata and Brazilian zouk schools, which has been training dance enthusiasts and building
a culture of conscious couple dancing for years.
During the classes, participants will learn the basic steps, the rules of leading and following, and the elements of
smooth movement in a couple. Bachata is based on simple, accessible figures, thanks to which even
people with no experience can feel comfortable dancing with another person. We pay special attention
to the quality of contact, non-verbal communication, and freedom of movement.
The workshop is aimed at beginners and anyone who wants to try dancing in
a pair in a safe and friendly atmosphere.
We welcome both couples and solo dancers! The best practice and development come through frequent partner changes.
About the instructors:
Julia and Dawid are extremely experienced bachata instructors who have been involved with the Warsaw dance scene
and Abra Studio for many years. They combine solid technical skills with a light, accessible teaching style,
making their classes open to both beginners and more advanced dancers.
Dawid has been teaching bachata for over a decade and has contributed to the development of the bachata scene in Warsaw by teaching
classes at leading dance schools and participating in numerous dance projects and events
in Poland and Europe. Julia brings to their joint work an attention to the quality of movement, contact in
the couple, and the comfort of the participants, creating an atmosphere of freedom and authentic joy of dance. She represents
world-class dance, which she has the opportunity to present as an artist, instructor, and judge at
numerous international festivals in Europe.
At Abra Studio, they co-create a space where technique meets relationship and flow. At the festival,
they will lead sensual bachata workshops for beginners, focusing on the basics of
leading and following, a sense of rhythm, and a natural connection in dance. Learning with this dance couple
is pure pleasure, as evidenced by the record numbers of students attending their daily
courses at Abra Studio.
