We explore movement and dance as a path to becoming grounded in ourselves – in our bodies, emotions, and identities – so we can open up to the full range of possibilities life has to offer. In this workshop, Movement Medicine dance will be supported by somatic grounding and elements of the LBMS movement language. We evoke the playful human who, in dialogue with the fluid nature of their body and the surrounding environment – LEARNS.
The body and movement root us in the here and now – in the breath, in the support of the Earth. It is a process of grounding in one’s own experience – feeling the body and its connection to the ground, recognizing emotions as signposts, and acknowledging one’s story, values, and boundaries as the foundation of identity. Grounding is not stagnation, but a sense of stability in motion – an inner “yes” that gives us the courage to spread our wings, explore new spaces, and create from a place of coherence. It is a state in which we no longer run away from ourselves, but become our own support. Only then can we truly meet the world – not out of a need to escape, but from a readiness to participate.
Dance opens a space to feel oneself in change – it helps integrate what moves inside with what moves outside. Through rhythm, pulsation, flow, and stillness, we build the inner capacity to reach for life with more awareness and choice. Movement becomes a practice of reclaiming our power – not necessarily grand, but real.
This workshop marks the beginning of a new edition of MoveOn Camp, which will take place in June 2026 at Dojo Stara Wieś. MoveOn Camp is a 4-day empowering retreat where movement is a catalyst for transformation and expanded awareness, with various approaches to movement and embodiment woven into a cohesive pathway based on an anthropological process of change.
Movement Tribe is co-created by Anna Sierpowska, Nadia Szypiłow, and Beata Rutkowska. We are a group promoting a culture of the living body. We work with movement at the level of consciousness, integrating physical, psychological, spiritual, and community aspects. We unite diverse movement modalities into one shared space, creating a pathway toward embodiment.
