1. Aphrodisiacs in the kitchen and herbal first aid kit

During the lecture, I will discuss and present herbs that have an aphrodisiac effect. I will focus on herbs often present in our kitchen cupboards and those we drink as infusions. The unique effects of these herbs are often misunderstood as herbs intended to seduce a chosen person. Aphrodisiacs are designed to support the balance of hormones

related to our sex, therefore increase libido and increase pleasure in the alcove. He will suggest some easy and pleasant ways to use them in the kitchen when preparing meals and drinks for joint meetings – whether with a partner or yourself.

2. Nettle potential

Nettle is a very common wild plant that many people perceive as a troublesome weed. However, it is worth noting its wide application in

herbal medicine as well as skin and hair care. The inside of nettle, rich in minerals and phytochemicals, is used in many diseases. Nettle will help naturally support the health of our kidneys,

liver, skin and hair. During the meeting, I will tell you about the most interesting and important facts and methods of using nettle.

3. Herbs that will help you survive hot days

Hot days, despite their charm, can weaken our body. Excessive sweating aimed at regulating the body’s thermal regulation also excretes many valuable minerals. In addition, dealing with high temperatures can be a great physical and mental challenge.

So it is worth supporting yourself with herbs that bring relief, cooling, as well as those that help us supplement minerals and electrolytes as well as vitamins, so important for the proper functioning of the body. Herbs supporting thermoregulation are known and used in many regions with intense and hot clicks. I will tell you about herbs that are worth reaching for to help yourself, survive hot days and herbs that should be avoided at this time. I will present useful and simple ways in how to use them for the best effect.

4. Folk medicine. Meeting phytotherapy with beliefs folk

Polish folk medicine is characterized by a very specific and consistent combination of herbal medicine and messages folk. They are based on beliefs related to the appearance of plants and their use in various ailments in animals and humans, the position where they can be found and even saints. These herbs often have a real therapeutic effect in the area related to their use in folk medicine. I will tell you about the herbs, the most interesting etymological stories and their use in folk medicine in relation to their use today.

5. Adaptogenic herbs – support in dealing with stress

We live in a world that bombards us with lots of stressful situations, open screens, overloading sounds, duties and tasks that require high performance of the body and mind. This is often a challenge beyond our strength, which is not surprising given the widespread shortage of rest, proper nutrition of our bodies and relaxation of the mind in society. Adaptogenic herbs turn out to be helpful in such moments. In addition to their effect reducing the impact of stress on our body, they help to increase motivation, add strength and teach how to listen and understand our bodies. Our nervous system – often overloaded – prevents us from effective actions and makes us fall into states in which our body can finally get a little respite.

This has a direct impact on our social, professional and family relationships – often deepening the state we are in. The herbs that I will tell you about and their compositions will help strengthen the body and positively affect our cognitive and causative abilities. I will present some of the most interesting and pleasant in using herbs that will help your body return to homeostasis.

About the speaker:

Wild edible plants

A workshop in the form of a herbal walk, during which we will find, recognize and discuss the plants that we can collect in the immediate vicinity to be able to prepare tasty meals from them. We will discuss the habitats of occurrence, the characteristics of plants, the features that distinguish them from other similar or poisonous species. There will be no shortage of historical curiosities and those concerning the ways of use. We will tell you what dishes can be prepared from them and how. We will collect selected plants together during the walk and prepare a dish for refreshments at the end of the workshop. Together we will discover the richness of flavors of plants growing under our feet, a wide range of their culinary uses.

Why is it worth eating them? Wild plants grow where they have the best conditions, where they can draw all the nutrients they need from the ground. Thus, they become for us an excellent source of microelements and substances often unavailable in market food. By consuming them, we take care of health prevention, the degree of nutrition of food and build a stronger bond with the surrounding nature. In addition, wild plants are widely available for free, they enrich our menu and teach seasonal nutrition.

During the walk, each participant will have the opportunity to experience, touch, smell, taste plants and take them on their own. He will learn what they look like, how to distinguish them and how to use them in the kitchen. The workshop is an opportunity to overcome the resistance to eating uncultivated food, gain confidence in its harvest, learn how to prepare several dishes or expand your knowledge with new information and recipes. What is most attractive, you will be able to try and see how Polish plants harvested from their natural state taste.
