Author of the monograph “Paper Chessboard” on drawing and collage, and co-author of “Interdisciplinarity – Visual Arts – Internal and External Correlations and Tensions.”
For many years, she has focused on the subject of women in art – an intimate narrative and a pretext for reflecting on universal themes of feminine identity, what is considered “feminine,” and the societal constructs around it. She searches for fullness in both the sacred and profane – in pain, ugliness, physiology, and beauty. Her art is not just intellectual – she strives to make her images physically affect the viewer, to be felt beneath the skin. Energy is the carrier of her story, one shaped by surviving a life-threatening illness and living with a disability. Her works often address the complex theme of bodily wounding. In addition to painting, she also works with textiles and ceramics.
