How do psychoactive substances work? What is ayahuasca, peyote, or amanita, and how do they affect our minds? Do entheogens take us to other dimensions, to the world of spirits, or are they merely hallucinations caused by chemical imbalances in the brain?
During this panel, we will explore these questions. We will seek the truth and try to determine whether modern neuropsychology strips ancient psychedelic substances of their magic or, on the contrary, confirms it.
We will present the latest research findings using EEG and functional MRI. We will also discuss experiences and fascinating cases reported by psychiatrists, neurobiologists, and shamans.
The aim of the panel is to first define the boundaries of the system, beyond which its uncontrolled development begins to pose a threat. We will then discuss theoretical and practical models of behaviors and actions aimed at safely detaching from the most inconvenient and unhealthy dependencies.
We will start by defining the concept of the system and identifying its blurred borders. We’ll look at the history of statehood and economy to understand the vector of change, which will help us extrapolate into the future.
We’ll explore various areas where we encounter the system: economy, food sovereignty, healthcare, education, community, and governance, mainly administrative.
By fighting the system, we inadvertently fuel it, giving reason for its defenders to mobilize. However, by making a series of decisions and consistent actions that are legal and available to us, we can significantly become more independent. We’ll model various practical methods of functioning outside the system. We’ll talk about the resources necessary to cut the most unhealthy and constraining ties: legal issues, basic knowledge of food, plant cultivation, education, and society.
After the panel, a slot will be reserved for free meetings and discussions among participants with the speakers.
