During my talk, I will explain what permaculture, agroforestry, and regenerative agriculture are, and how these disciplines can be used to grow your own food on any scale, in both urban and rural environments. Quoting Ron Finley, “Growing your own food is like printing your own money,” I want to emphasize how revolutionary growing your own healthy, organic food is, how it empowers us, and how it helps build sustainable local communities. In my multimedia presentation, I will present simple, practical solutions for growing food on a balcony, in a backyard garden, or on a farm, with simultaneous soil regeneration, water recovery, and improvement of local biodiversity. I will show how these actions can help us mitigate climate change.
