Tomek Torres, well-known for his mastery of the handpan, together with his wife PINA and her unique voice, will guide you into the world of mantras—both lesser-known and beloved ones that have accompanied them for years in their daily practice and journey of self-awareness. Their music is more than just sound; it is a space where everyone can feel present, here and now, connected with themselves and the world around them.
The concert will also feature original songs by PINA and Tomek, which have already captured many hearts—such as “Nowa Ty” and “Ego.” These songs are born from their experiences, reflecting their inner journey and pursuit of authenticity. PINA – Paulina Łaba-Torres
Paulina Łaba-Torres, performing under the pseudonym PINA, is a musical theater actress, voice-over artist, vocalist, and a graduate of the Gdańsk Academy of Music with a degree in jazz vocal studies. For years, she has been exploring both traditional and more modern forms of singing. While singing, she uses her voice as a tool for expressing emotions and creating atmosphere.
In her work, PINA blends original compositions with mantra singing, creating a cohesive and moving musical space. Her concerts have an intimate character, focusing on building a direct connection with the audience – they are full of focus, harmony, and emotional sincerity.
She collaborates with Tomasz Torres – a handpan player and percussionist – with whom she forms a duo combining the sounds of handpan and vocals. Their performances invite listeners to engage with attentiveness and openness, without excess effects, embracing the simplicity and power of acoustic sound.
Tomasz Torres
A graduate of the F. Chopin Secondary Music School in Bytom and the K. Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, Tomasz Torres is a musician with 25 years of experience in the Polish music scene. He is a renowned session percussionist and co-founder of the band Afromental, regularly performing with artists such as Urszula Dudziak and Sławek Uniatowski.
Tomek Torres is a handpan player and composer, known for his virtuosic approach to playing the handpan. His music is characterized by deep emotional expression and a unique style that blends elements of ethnic music, ambient, and improvisation.
Tomek has been an active artist on the handpan scene for many years. His music often emanates peace and a meditative character, which makes his concerts and recordings appreciated by both handpan enthusiasts and a wide range of listeners seeking relaxing and inspiring sounds.
