About the lecture “Regression, amnesia, hypermnesia
– how memory works in hypnotic trance?”:

The lecture will be devoted to the role of memory in hypnotic trance. During the presentation, we will focus on three important issues: regression, amnesia and hypermnesia, which are related to various aspects of memory functioning under hypnosis.

Regression is the process of going back in time where the hypnotist guides the person in a trance to past events. We will discuss how regression affects the hypnotherapeutic process, what benefits and potential risks this hypnotic technique brings, and how it is associated with the so-called. regression to previous incarnations.

Amnesia, or memory loss, is another aspect of memory functioning under hypnosis. We will present how hypnotists induce this trance phenomenon and whether it is possible to erase memories during a hypnosis session.

Hypermnesia, i.e. increasing the ability to remember, is another aspect that will be discussed during the presentation. We will give examples of how hypnotists use hypermnesia to help people with memory or concentration problems.

During the lecture, we will also discuss scientific research on the neurological view of the functioning of specific areas of the brain under hypnosis.
