What’s with Photography? Why do we take photos? Are they still essential in today’s impulsive, image-saturated world? What can be intriguing and unconventional in photography for the viewer when it comes to the artist’s idea, concept, and creative vision?
A lecture, discussion, and personal reflection on contemporary photography, accompanied by a retrospective showcase of the speaker’s own work.
About the Speaker
Piotr Tołwiński – graduate of the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź (PWSFTiTV), 1996–2022.
Since 2001, he has run a publishing house and print shop. He currently works at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Siedlce as a photography instructor and cultural animator, and is the curator of the FOKUS Photography Gallery.
