Do you enjoy dancing? Want to connect with others in a fun way? If so, I have something for you – join my Balfolk dance workshop! Let’s embark on a dance journey across Europe! 🙂 At my workshops and events, we dance traditional dances from Brittany, Scotland, Ireland, France, Portugal, Poland, Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, and Israel. These dances are simple enough for everyone to pick up quickly and have a great time. Each dance is carefully demonstrated, so you won’t get lost 😉
These dances are highly integrative and don’t require coming with a partner – many are performed in circles and chains. The chain and circle dances have a steady, trance-like rhythm that fosters a sense of unity with the group. It’s about synchronizing with a large gathering, entering a collective flow, and experiencing a state similar to meditation. It’s a feeling that words can’t quite capture 😉
And yes, we’ll also dance the Chapelloise – also known as the famous “Belgian Dance”! Don’t miss out! 🙂
